Approval of Warrants, Exhibit A Accounts Payable Check Registers Total $390,724.88 Payroll Total $323,408.61 It was moved by Jacobsen, seconded by Lange, and carried 4-0, with Jones abstaining, to approve the Consent Calendar as presented. 7. DEFERRED MATTERS None 8. NEW ITEMS A. Election of Board Chair and Vice Chair Friedl stated that, traditionally, the selection of Chair and Vice -Chair has been done in December or early January. He noted the chronological history of Board of Directors membership and officers of the Conejo Recreation and Park District. It was moved by Lange, and seconded by Holt, -to select Jacobsen to serve as Chair. It was unanimously agreed upon to close the nominations. The election of Jacobsen as Chair was declared unanimous. Jacobsen assumed the position of chair. Board members thanked Gibson for his service as Chair and well representing the District in community activities and in statewide agencies. Friedl presented Gibson with a ceremonial chair. Gibson thanked staff and the Board for their support. It was moved by Holt, seconded by Gibson, and carried 5-0 to nominated Lange as Vice Chair. It was unanimously agreed upon to close the nominations. The election of Lange as Vice Chair was declared unanimous. B. Confirmation of Board Appointments and Assignments Friedl stated that annually the Board reviews member committee assignments and either confirms, modes or deletes member committee assignments as appropriate. After discussion it was agreed to continue the item to give time to discuss director preferences, and identify committees needs. Gibson noted that his term on California Association of Recreation and Park Districts (CARPD) continues to May 2013.
