December 16, 2010 <br />Page 4 <br />C. 2010 Year in Review and Setting of Board Retreat <br />Friedl stated that the Board previously determined it should regularly review and update <br />the Strategic Plan, and therefore a date for the 2011 Board retreat should be set. He <br />referenced the documentation, said that it is only a summary of some of the Board's <br />significant actions, and highlighted many of the significant actions, projects and <br />accomplishments. He said staff will provide a more detailed update on the District's <br />progress at the Board retreat. He stated that 2010 has been a successful year. <br />Various date options were discussed and it has agreed to explore the possibility of a <br />meeting on February 17, February 26, March 3, March 5, or March 26. <br />9. Parks Division Report <br />Hare said that six public comments have been received on the Draft Master Plan Update. <br />Staff plans to bring the update to the Board on January 6. <br />In response to Board inquiries, Hare said that everything is going well on the McCrea <br />visitors center project and an opening in a few months is anticipated. Further <br />improvements will be evaluated after the facility is in operation. <br />Continuing, Hare said that the Lang Ranch Community Park project requires a new <br />environmental impact report, which would be subject to the revised Master Plan, should it <br />be adopted first. <br />
