September 2, 2010 <br />Page 3 <br />easement for public bicycling and pedestrian purposes. The City will be responsible <br />for all maintenance of the bike path. Hare said that discussions relative to the path <br />began in 2008, and Friedl supplied additional background information. <br />Hare said that continual three-way communication is ongoing among the City of <br />Thousand Oaks (CTO), the Conejo Valley Unified School District (CVUSD) and <br />CRPD, and CTO is aware of the concerns expressed. <br />It was moved by Holt, seconded by Jacobsen, and carried 4-0 to: <br />Authorize General Manager to enter into a bike path easement agreement with <br />the City of Thousand Oaks at Conejo Creek Park South and Conejo Creek Park <br />Southwest; and <br />Authorize General Manager to request Conejo Valley Unified School District <br />(CVUSD) approval of multi -use (i.e. equestrian) trail easement over CVUSD <br />property on Janss Road. <br />B. Approval of 2011 Board Schedule <br />Friedl referenced the proposed 2011 Board of Directors' meeting schedule, and stated <br />that it was created to avoid conflicts with scheduled events and dates of professional <br />conferences. He noted that the proposed December meetings were misidentified and <br />are actually the second and fourth Thursdays of the month. <br />It was moved by Holl, seconded by Jacobsen, and carried 4-0 to adopt the <br />proposed Board of Directors 2011 meeting schedule as amended; i.e., <br />December Board meetings will be December 9 and 15. <br />C. Approval of Appointment to the Goebel Senior Center Commission <br />Wiley synopsized the appointment process and the election, and said that staff <br />proposal is to approve the Commission recommendation of Del S. Basilio to serve the <br />remainder of a three-year term. <br />It was moved by Lange, seconded by Jacobsen, and carried 4-0 to approve <br />appointment of Del S. Basilio to serve the remainder of a three-year term on the <br />Goebel Senior Center Commission, effective immediately. <br />
