JIM LANG RANCH COMMUNITY PARK
OESiGN DEVELOPMENT AND
_ONsTRuc-loN DOCUMENTS cop of: N
► If necessary, provide recommendations for groundWgter.m@Ting,
and necessary mitigation measures to maintain a maximum water level
over time such as installation of horizontal drains (hydro -augers) or
(continued) vertical drains (pumping wells).
► Provide recommendations for crack survey of streets in nearby
neighborhoods including inspection of streets, sidewalks, curbs and
gutter, light poles, and other "stable" features prior to any site grading
activities. This will help reduce the potential for short and long term
exposure to unwarranted and unnecessary liability and litigation from
adjacent sites.
► Provide recommendations for installation of slope inclinometers
and settlement monuments to monitor for movements during the
site grading activities. These instruments can help predict slope
movements indicative of failure, thus allowing time for supplemental
support prior to any failure. In addition, these instruments can
also help reduce the potential for short and long term exposure to
unwarranted and unnecessary liability and litigation from adjacent
sites.
► Recommendations for foundation design, including vertical and lateral
(passive and friction) load -supporting capacities, embedment depths,
and estimated settlements and differential settlements of the foundation
for the anticipated loading.
Recommendations for design and construction of retaining walls,
including active, at -rest, and passive earth pressures, drainage, and
backfill recommendations.
Recommendations for the design and construction of conventional
slabs -on -grade including subgrade preparation and supportof floor
slabs -on -grade.
1 A discussion of the corrosivity and chemical attack potential of the site
soils, including corrosion and chemical attack, if necessary.
► Asphalt concrete pavement sections for assumed Traffic Indices (TI's)
of 4, 5, and 6, if necessary.
► Guide specifications for the quality, placement, and compaction of
backfill as an appendix to the report.
Six copies of the bound report will be provided and distributed as requested
by Psomas.
P S O M A S Scope of Services 1 LGC Geotechnical — 35
