At this preliminary stage, we -anticipate <br />approximately 22 cross sections will be necessary to review site slope <br />stability and to provide design recommendations for grading. <br />A discussion of site-specific geologic hazards, including the location <br />of known faults near the site and the potential for fault rupture through <br />the site, liquefaction, seismic settlement, land sliding, and earthquake - <br />induced ground subsidence and/or flooding. <br />+ A probabilistic seismic hazard analysis will be performed to <br />determine the peak horizontal ground accelerations (PHGA) for 10 <br />percent probability of exceedance in 50 years (Maximum Probable <br />Earthquake, MPE) seismic events at the site. <br />1 Evaluation of the potential for liquefaction and earthquake -induced <br />settlement at the site based on 10 percent probability'of exceedan.6 <br />in 50 years ground surface acceleration, from the data obtained from <br />our 50 -foot boring, if applicable for the site. Liquefaction potential <br />evaluation will be based on California Division of Mines and Geology <br />(CDMG) Special Publication 117 (SP 117). <br />/ An estimate of the Seismic Parameters based on the 2007 California <br />Building Code (CBC), Chapter 16, Section 1623. <br />1 Recommendations for site grading and earthwork including removal <br />of compressible, expansive or unsuitable existing soils, as applicable, <br />subgrade preparation, moisture conditioning of fill soils, placement <br />and compaction of fill and backfill materials, and site drainage. <br />► Perform slope stability analysis to confirm the overall stability of the <br />landslide, and to provide an evaluation of the stability of the proposed <br />design localized cut/fill slopes. <br />PS O MAS <br />Scope of Services I LGC Geotechnical — 34 <br />
