(continued) TRAFFIC SIGNAL DESIGN - Psomas will design plans for the installation of a traffic signal at the intersection of Westlake Boulevard and the north end of Rainfield Avenue, at the primary entrance to the proposed park. The proposed signal will detail conduit, conductors, stop line loop detectors, poles and mast arms be per Caltrans standards and will include the following additional features identified in the EIR: Loop detectors at the back of the northbound left turn lane to avoid queue spillbacks onto Westlake Boulevard Protected northbound left tum phasing Flashing beacons for northbound and southbound Westlake Boulevard approaching the intersection. The beacons will be connected to the signal using underground conduit and conductors, and will be placed on mast arms (Type 9B, 1-A or 15FBS) approximately 800 feet in advance of the intersection It is anticipated that three submittals will be necessary to complete the design of the traffic signal and flashers. Construction cost estimates and site location special provisions will be provided at each submittal stage. Services outside this scope of work include, but are not limited to the following: Development of signal timing plans, simulations or calculations of clearance intervals. Relocation of or modifications to the gate that provides access to/from the subdivision located at the east leg of the intersection. Application for power to the utility company, or design of utility modifications. P STREET hvnmovEMENT PLANS -- Psomas will prepare public sheet - improvement plans for the construction of required off-site street improvements for the following locations. Plan and profile will be provided and will be processed for approval with the City of Thousand Oaks. Westlake Boulevard and Rainfield Avenue — provide a left tum pocket for southbound Westlake Boulevard into the park entrance. Also situ location included will be the addition of public sidewalk along the west side of Westlake Boulevard between the Knolls Apartment Complex and Montecito Avenue SIGNAGE AND STRING PLANs — Psomas will provide a signage and striping plan at the following locations to supplement the proposed street P S O M A S Scope of Services - 23
