LANG RANCH COMMUNITY PARK <br />DESIGN DEVELOPMENT AND c <br />" CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS Scope of Servieet <br />r <br />utility providers to provide service to the site. Plan will be utilized by the <br />team to avoid any utility conflicts. Gas line will also be shown if necessary <br />to serve the site. <br />(continued) <br />TRAFFIC SIGNAL DESIGN - Psomas will design plans for the installation of a <br />traffic signal at the intersection of Westlake Boulevard and the north end <br />of Rainfield Avenue, at the primary entrance to the proposed park. The <br />proposed signal will detail conduit, conductors, stop line loop detectors, <br />poles and mast arms be per Caltrans standards and will include the <br />following additional features identified in the EIR: <br />Loop detectors at the back of the northbound left turn lane to avoid <br />queue spillbacks onto Westlake Boulevard <br />Protected northbound left tum phasing <br />Flashing beacons for northbound and southbound Westlake Boulevard <br />approaching the intersection. The beacons will be connected to the <br />signal using underground conduit and conductors, and will be placed <br />on mast arms (Type 9B, 1-A or 15FBS) approximately 800 feet in <br />advance of the intersection <br />It is anticipated that three submittals will be necessary to complete the <br />design of the traffic signal and flashers. Construction cost estimates and <br />site location special provisions will be provided at each submittal stage. Services <br />outside this scope of work include, but are not limited to the following: <br />Development of signal timing plans, simulations or calculations of <br />clearance intervals. <br />Relocation of or modifications to the gate that provides access to/from <br />the subdivision located at the east leg of the intersection. <br />Application for power to the utility company, or design of utility <br />modifications. <br />P STREET hvnmovEMENT PLANS -- Psomas will prepare public sheet <br />- improvement plans for the construction of required off-site street <br />improvements for the following locations. Plan and profile will be <br />provided and will be processed for approval with the City of Thousand <br />Oaks. <br />Westlake Boulevard and Rainfield Avenue — provide a left tum pocket <br />for southbound Westlake Boulevard into the park entrance. Also <br />situ location included will be the addition of public sidewalk along the west side <br />of Westlake Boulevard between the Knolls Apartment Complex and <br />Montecito Avenue <br />SIGNAGE AND STRING PLANs — Psomas will provide a signage and <br />striping plan at the following locations to supplement the proposed street <br />P S O M A S Scope of Services - 23 <br />
