DESIGN DEVELOPMENT AND <br />1 CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS Scope of Services <br />(continued) <br />site locaton <br />After each monitoring site visit, Psomas will send a memorandum to the <br />Lang Ranch Community Park District documenting the results of the site <br />visit. The memoranda prepared throughout the year will form the basis <br />for the required annual report. During the monitoring visits, Psomas will <br />immediately contact Lang Ranch Community Park District if the mitigation <br />site is doing poorly, or if damage has been observed to the planting area <br />or plants. Psomas will recommend remedial measures to Lang Ranch <br />Community Park if needed. <br />Psomas has front -loaded the monitoring effort to place emphasis on the <br />first year. It has been our experience that the first year of restoration is the <br />most critical. <br />ANwAL REPoRTwoo - Psomas will prepare an annual report in accordance <br />with the City's requirements, and the requirements of the USFWS. The <br />annual report will provide an evaluation of the success of the plantings, and <br />at a minimum the following additional information: <br />► Description of the Lang Ranch Community Park Project/impact site <br />► Goals of the compensatory restoration/enhancement project <br />► Description of proposed restoration/enhancement site <br />► Restoration and enhancement activities <br />► Monitoring methods <br />Results <br />► Recommendations <br />Psomas will submit the draft annual report to Lang Ranch Community Park <br />for review and comment. Psomas will respond to one set of comments from <br />Lang Ranch Community Park and revise the report. Subsequently, Psomas <br />will provide a final report to Lang Ranch Community Park for submittal to <br />Deputy Director/City Planner and USFWS. <br />BREmrNG Bmry SuRv13Y Arra REeoRTYNG - If construction is scheduled to be <br />conducted during the bird nesting season (February to August), Psomas <br />will conduct a field breeding bird survey no more than seven days prior <br />to the commencement of any grading. The biologist will determine if <br />special status or other bird species are breeding and/or nesting in the trees <br />in the construction zone or within 100 feet (3 00 feet for raptors) of the <br />construction zone. <br />If ground disturbance activities are delayed for more than 14 days past <br />the date of the first pre -construction survey, then Psomas will conduct <br />additional pre -construction surveys so thari no more than seven days will <br />elapse between the survey and the ground disturbance activity.
