t -ANG RANCH COa'1MUNFIY PARK
DESIGN DEVELOPMENT AND
_ CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS Scope of Services
JumsmcnoNAL I)miNEATioN AND REPORT - Psomas understands based on the
EIR and the proposal project description that a jurisdictional delineation
will be needed because of potential impacts to Lange Creek. Potential
(continued) impacts could occur as a result of bridge installations and a culvert for the
drainage of run-off from the project.
Field Delineation: Psomas will conduct a delineation of Lange Creek
to determine the limits of USACOE and CDFG jurisdiction. The field
delineation would be undertaken following the methods detailed in the
Field Guide for Wetland Delineation: 1987 Corps of Engineering Manual
and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Regional Supplement to the Corps
of Engineers Wetland Delineation Manual: Arid Vilest Region, and in the
CDFG's A Field Guide to Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreements.
Prior to performing the field delineation Psomas will review the biological
report and EIR for the Project. Field delineations will be undertaken and
lead by an experienced wetland delineator. The vegetation along Lange
Creek will be noted and mapped. Soil test pits will be dug if an area
appears to qualify as a jurisdictional wetland. The widths and lengths of
drainages will be recorded using a hand held GPS device. Photographs
documenting the delineation will be made at each cross section point. All
field data will be recorded onto standard wetland delineation field sheets.
The delineation will be mapped in the field directly on a 200 -scale
(1"--200') base map. Boundaries will be delineated using a Global
Positioning System (GPS) unit and later downloaded into ArcView.
Following completion of the field work, all points will be digitized into
an AutoCAD drawing, and using ArcCAD, GIS coverage will be created.
Once in ArcCAD, acreages of each jurisdictional area and vegetation
community will be determined. Resulting jurisdictional boundaries and
associated area will be reported in a jurisdictional delineation report, along
with a project location and methodology.
Delineation Report. Subsequent to the completion of the field delineation
Psomas will prepare a draft delineation report that describes the results of
the field delineation. At a minimum the report will include:
/ Introduction
r Project Location
1 Purpose and Need
1 Methods
► Results and Impacts
1 Recommended Mitigation Measures
Conclusions
P S O M A S Scope of Services — 14
