Internal and external quality control and quality assurance reviews will be made (continued) of all plans and specifications produced by the team. Peer reviews are also undertaken to allow additional "fresh" eyes to review the plans before they are considered complete. Improvements suggested by these peer reviews are generally incorporated and provide a higher level of value to the completed documents. Submittal to the local governmental agencies will be easy as we will contact them during the design to alert them of the upcoming review requests and to.gatherhelpful tips on 4asing the review process. By including them early in the process, it eliminates some of the difficulties of getting the plans received and assigned to the review process. The consultants will resolve the plan check comments of the agency officials and then incorporate these into the 100% construction documents. The issuance of the District's approved plans and construction permits will facilitate the creation of the final Engineers Estimate of Probable Cost and allow for bidding for the construction of the project. Phase 11 of the scope of work includes bidding and the recommendation for award of the construction contract. During the bidding process, the design team will assist the District in fielding any questions that the bidders may present and then offer their evaluation of the submitted responses to the Request for Bid. Upon acceptance of the bid and issuance of the Notice to Proceed to the selected general contractor, the design team will be responsible for providing plans and specifications as well as preparing for the actual construction. Construction Monitoring The degign team will coordhiate- the pre-coristructiori conference and provide minutes for distribution to all attendees. During the construction of the project, the design team will diligently process submittals and Requests for Information, and assist the District with field observations of the ongoing construction. The design team will attend critical construction meetings as required and provide the necessary documentation these meetings will generate. The design team will also provide assistance with contractor Request for Change proposals and monthly billing requests. During a typical athletic field renovation project, the design team identifies the critical phases that will require on-site observation and approval by an experienced sports engineer. The design team will be on-site for these observations and will monitor all the critical construction installations and tolerances to ensure a premium installation and the construction of a fully functioning synthetic turf field.
