Public Hearing — Fiscal Year 2006-2007 Budget <br />Lange declared the Public Hearing open. <br />As no one was in attendance who wished to address the Board, the Public <br />Hearing was continued to the next regular meeting on May 25, 2006. <br />8. NEW ITEMS <br />A. Adoption Of Resolution Number 051106-A, Requesting Consolidation Of <br />November 7, 2006 Election <br />Ward explained that the proposed resolution requests consolidation of the <br />2006 election. Secondly, he said that the District's long standing policy with <br />respect to candidate statements would continue; specifically, that each <br />candidate, not the District, is responsible for the cost of his/her candidate <br />statement, which is limited to 200 words. He noted that the terms of Berger; <br />Gibson and Holt will expire this year. <br />It was moved by Holt, seconded by Jacobsen, and carried 3-0 to adopt <br />Resolution Number 051106-A, requesting consolidation of the District <br />election with the statewide general election; that it be read in title only <br />and all other readings be waived. <br />B. Adoption Of Resolutions 051106-B, Directing Preparation Of Engineer's <br />Report, Declaring District's Intention To Levy Assessments, Preliminarily <br />Approving Engineer's Report For Districtwide Park Maintenance And <br />Recreation Improvement District (62-1), And Providing For Notice Of <br />Public Hearing <br />Friedl referenced documentation, and stated that: the Districtwide Park <br />Maintenance and Recreation and Improvement District (62-1) was initially <br />approved in 2001; every year, thereafter, the Board is asked to consider and <br />preliminarily approve the Engineer's Report and declare the District's intention <br />to levy the annual assessments, and setting the date, time and place for the <br />
