CONEJO RECREATION AND PARK DISTRICT <br />BOARD OF DIRECTORS REGULAR MEETING <br />MAY 11, 2006 <br />7:30 P.M. <br />HILLCREST CENTER <br />MINUTES <br />1. CALL TO ORDER AND FLAG SALUTE <br />In the absence of Chair Gibson, Vice Chair Jacobsen called the meeting to order at <br />7:30 p.m., and requested that Lange lead the meeting. Ward led the flag salute. <br />2. ROLL CALL <br />Directors Present: Holt, Jacobsen and Lange <br />Directors Absent: Gibson, Berger <br />Staff Present: General Manager Ward, Assistant General Manager Friedl, <br />Administrators Benton and Lewanda, and Executive Secretary Ohren <br />3. SPECIAL PRESENTATIONS <br />4. ITEMS FROM THE PUBLIC <br />Cathy Carlson, indicated that she was representing the Nordic community in the <br />Conejo Valley, and requested consideration be given to renaming Spring Meadow <br />Park to reflect the area's Norwegian heritage. She said that a delegation will appear <br />at the June 25 Board meeting to request the park's name be changed to Norwegian <br />Colony Park, and she would like to meet with the Park Naming Committee. <br />5. APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br />It was moved by Holt, seconded by Jacobsen, and carried 3-0, to approve the <br />agenda as presented. <br />6. CONSENT CALENDAR <br />A. Approval Of Minutes Of April 20, 2006 Meeting <br />B. Approval Of Warrants, Exhibit A <br />Accounts Payable Check Registers Total $320,431.81 <br />Payroll Total $495,500.88 <br />
