January 19, 2006 <br />Page 3 <br />8. NEW ITEMS <br />A. Resolution 011906-A, A Resolution To Modify Section 237 Of District <br />Ordinance Manual <br />Marchesano provided background information. He said that the addition of <br />lights to the facility and maintenance needs require the following <br />modifications: Section 237, paragraph one, changed to indicate hours of <br />operation as 7:00 am to 8:30 pm; paragraph two, changed to indicate that <br />the dog park may be closed periodically during the year for special events; <br />and paragraph 18 eliminated, as redundant, because Section 113 "Sales <br />and Solicitation" provides staff sufficient authority to regulate any proposed <br />commercial use of site. <br />In response to Board inquiries, Marchesano said that the dog park will be <br />reopened on January 20; park lights are touch activated and governed by a <br />photocell; and a handout explaining the lighting will be distributed. <br />It was moved by Berger, seconded by Lange, and carried 4-0 to adopt <br />Resolution Number 011906-A, a resolution to modify Section 237 -- <br />Dog Park Rules and Regulations; that it be read in title only and all <br />further readings be waived. <br />9.
