In addition we have requested further support from the City of Thousand <br />Oaks, Sports Facility Endowment Fund to complete the final phase of barn improvements. <br />Finances and Fundraising <br />Our financial audit is attached. Total support was up 18% over the prior year, totaling $695,244. <br />The audit is also posted on our website along with our IRS Form 990. Ride On's goal remains to <br />fully exploit the potential inherent in the Walnut Grove Equestrian Center. In the medium-term <br />this entails expanding our service to 1.00 riders a week. In the longer-term, developing a multi- <br />disciplinary team of professionals serving the disabled remains a core objective. The current <br />fundraising environment remains challenging which, in turn, constrains program growth and <br />facility development as staff resources are diverted from core missions. Broadening the base of <br />support in the community remains a key long-term strategy. <br />Annual Lease Payment <br />Ride On's $40 annual lease payment has been paid under separate cover. <br />Upcoming Events: Ventura Farms Bent on September 24` <br />Mr. David H. Murdock has offered to host a fundraising evening at Ventura Farms. He <br />underwrites the entire cost of the event so all proceeds benefit Ride On. Of course I hope the <br />Board of Directors of the Park District will be able to attend. It is a wonderful evening at a <br />beautiful location. <br />Once again, I would like to complement the Board for its vision for the Conejo Valley and its <br />commitment to your disabled constituents whom we serve.
