<br />Fundraising activities began in July 1996 and continued
<br />through May 1998. The committee members worked long
<br />and bard to put lights in the park. While members came and
<br />went, a few dedicated individuals stuck it out from
<br />beginning to end and deserve special recognition. These
<br />people were Bob Burkhardt, Courtenay Lopez, Edwin
<br />Lopez, Barbara November, Gary Allen Smith, and Lani
<br />Butcher Smith.
<br />Members who worked hard in the early and middle days
<br />and members who joined later and stayed till the end were
<br />Andrea. Alexander, Jackie Arao, Mary Brown, Maria.
<br />Burkhardt, Jerry Cisinsky, Joe Fischer, Pat Harris, John

<br />In August 1996, the committee began selling Poway Dog
<br />Park memorabilia items, including T-sb- -ts, buttons, and
<br />m-agnets_ The committee's resident artist, Gamey Allen Smith,
<br />designed a special logo for the dog park that appeared on all
<br />of the items. You can see the logo �t the top of this page.
