ELECTION OF LAFCO SPECIAL DISTRICTS <br />COMMISSIONERS AND THEIR ALTERNATES <br />ELECTION PROCEDURES <br />Any Independent Special District (ISD) in Ventura County is <br />eligible to designate one board member for election as a <br />representative of special districts on the Ventura County <br />LAFCO Commission by a resolution from the member's <br />agency Board of Directors. <br />Nominations and voting for LAFCO commissioners shall be <br />conducted by certified mail by the Ventura County LAFCO <br />Executive Officer as described in the following. <br />Written notice of the use of an all -mail ballot for election to the <br />LAFCO Commission shall be sent by certified mail no later <br />than 120 days ("days" refers to calendar days in this article) <br />prior to the date scheduled for such election. Said notice shall <br />(1) inform each ISD of the positions to be filled on the <br />commission at such election; and (2) inform each ISD of its <br />right to nominate one individual for any office to be filled at <br />the election by fling by certified mail with the LAFCO <br />Executive Officer at least 60 days prior to the date scheduled <br />for such election a written resolution of the board of directors <br />specifying that district's nominee (s) and the candidates <br />statement or resume (1 page limit) to be in included with the <br />1 <br />
