Activity Summary <br />Lange noted the increased attendance at the Borchard Skate Park. <br />Jacobsen requested information on noncompliance of rules, relative to use <br />of safety attire. Benton said that staff would investigate the issue, staff <br />efforts will continue to work toward full compliance, noncompliance is <br />generally by older teens, and the portable skateboard facility is no longer at <br />Thousand Oaks Community Park. <br />11. DEPARTMENT REPORTS <br />A. Park Division Report <br />Friedi referenced photographs of COSCA (Conejo Open Space <br />Conservation Agency) property near Arroyo Conejo, where, he said, <br />several youngsters were recently hurt while exploring, and staff is <br />investigating the accident. <br />He reported that staff met recently with representatives of Conejo Valley <br />Days, and parking plans for the event were finalized; he will meet with <br />Chuck Huffer of AYSO (American Youth Soccer Organization), relative to <br />the MOU (Memorandum of Understanding) between the District and AYSO; <br />and tours of Lang Dam will be conducted on February 24 and 25. <br />B. Recreation Division Report <br />Benton reported that at the Teen Center, over 1,100 teens attended the <br />Valentine's Day Dance, and High School Spirit Night is underway; at <br />Thousand Oaks Community Center, "Mighty Mites" soccer now has a <br />total enrollment of 90; at Goebel Senior Adult Center, a seminar on the <br />Grand Jury of Ventura County will be conducted on February 20; at <br />Therapeutics, a video of "Snow White and the Seven Dwarves" which <br />closed February 15, is scheduled for TON on April 1, the Conejo Valley <br />Therapeutic Advisory Council (CVTAC) Baja Fresh fundraiser is scheduled <br />for February 25; and at Sports and Aquatics, the Adult Winter/Spring <br />Coed Volleyball League opens regular season play on February 22, and 34 <br />teams are registered. <br />
