Thus, based on the interviews and the criteria set forth in the Request for Proposals, the evaluation committee recommends Venco Western, Inc. for contract award. Venco Western, Inc, although not the lowest cost proposer, is the most qualified contractor, due to their levels of staffing, comparable work experience, and suitable references. The contract will be for a 3 -year term with an additional 1 -year mutually agreeable option year. The School District will be entering into a purchase order with Venco Western, Inc. City staff will be providing the same recommendation for City Council consideration on March 28, 2017. If the City Council does not concur with the Board's recommendation, the District is able to separate the District and COSCA scopes of work from the City's for a separate contract.
