February 16, 2017 <br />Page 3 <br />answered questions from the Board. <br />Bob Tokin, AYSO Region 9 Commissioner, addressed the Board regarding the many <br />contributions made by AYSO for improvements to the park, including the meeting <br />room, and discussed his wishes for further improvements. He expressed concerns <br />about AYSO's delayed access to the fields after the Oakheart Music Festival. <br />Brian Hynes, representing Oakheart, expressed his opinion that Aditya should address <br />the problems and concerns with the City of Westlake before they consider growing their <br />event. <br />The Board members thanked all of the speakers for their comments. Additionally, they <br />expressed the need to balance the potential benefit to the community with the impact to <br />the park and commitment to the user groups. <br />It was moved by .cones to postpone the vote until further information could be <br />obtained. The motion failed due to the lack of a second. <br />It was moved by Huffer, seconded by Lange, and carried 3-1 to: <br />Reject Aditya Festival Productions proposal. <br />B. Conejo Valley Days — 2017 Annual Agreement and Permit Conditions <br />Hare reported that the 2017 agreement is very similar to last year's agreement, <br />including many rides being moved onto the parking to limit damage to the fields. This <br />year, the dates are May 7-17. <br />Frank Akrey, representing CVD, spoke in support of this year's event. Highlights <br />include the Children's Parade, new carnival, 50+ non -profits, Battle of the Bands, World <br />Drum Circle, line dancing, 5K run, special guests like Ambrosia, U.S. trampoline team, <br />motor cross, tribute to John Denver Mother's Day singalong, best bunny contest, <br />outhouse racing. CVD has completed its non-profit paperwork. He thanked Hare for <br />his assistance and CRPD for supporting the event, He then answered questions from <br />the Board. <br />The board thanked Mr. Akrey and staff for their hard work and expressed their support <br />and appreciation for the event. <br />It was moved by Jones, seconded by Huffer, and carried 4-0 to authorize General <br />Manager to execute an agreement with Conejo Valley Days (CVD) for the 2017 <br />Conejo Valley Days and accept 2017 CVD Permit Conditions. <br />
