Contract for Evaluation of Therapeutic Recreation Program and Facility <br />Needs in the amount of $80,000 <br />Hare reported staff is recommending hiring a consultant to assist in a therapeutic <br />recreation program and facility needs assessment. Staff met with the <br />recommended consultant several times and devised a scope of work. This work <br />will be conducted in a phased approach; Phase 1 (of a possible 3) is primarily for <br />information gathering and report compiling. Hare will work closely with Recreation <br />Staff on this project. Director Holt asked questions regarding tasks and associated <br />costs. <br />It was moved by Gibson, seconded by Lange, and carried 5-0 to authorize <br />General Manager to enter into a contract with Recreation Accessibility <br />Consultants in the amount of $75,245 and a contingency amount of $4,755 for <br />a total amount of $80,000 for Phase 1 of an evaluation of the District's <br />Therapeutic Recreation Program and Facility Needs. <br />F. Call for Vote for Member to Serve on California Association for Park and <br />Recreation Indemnity (CAPRI) Board of Directors <br />Friedl reported CAPRI, the District's liability insurance provider, is soliciting votes for <br />an open position on their Board of Directors. Discussion ensued. <br />It was moved by Gibson, seconded by Jones, and carried 5-0 to select Mark <br />Johnson as CRPD's candidate of choice for a member to serve on the CAPRI <br />Board of Directors. <br />10.
