Recreation Division Report <br />Callis referenced Rec Highlights, including the upcoming "Brats and Beer' at the <br />Goebel Center and the 'The Trial of Goldilocks" at Hillcrest Center. Program <br />registration begins tomorrow morning at 6:00 am; tickets for the upcoming McCrea <br />Ranch movies will be going on sale at that time. The Safe Passage Program <br />recently held two field trip events — one to Underwood Farms and one to the <br />Thousand Oaks Library. <br />C. Management Services Division Report <br />Lewanda reported that PERS conducted an audit; the only anticipated comment is <br />that the District's longevity pay may need to be reported to PERS each pay period. <br />D. General Manager's Report <br />Friedl reported the Sapwi Trails Community Park project was approved by the <br />City's Planning Commission on October 10th; he extended kudos to Hare and the <br />Parks and Planning staff for all their efforts in this regard. A final draft of the 2016- <br />2020 <br />0162020 Strategic Plan has been distributed tonight. Friedl referenced a variety of <br />invites in Board members' folders, including the grand opening of the Sports <br />Academy. Friedl spoke today to the Board President of the Chumash Museum; due <br />to some staffing challenges, the Museum may be truncating their hours. <br />D. Directors' Reports & Follow -Up Reports on Meetings/Conferences Attended <br />Lange, Holt and Friedl attended the Los Robles Greens Golf Course restoration <br />event. Lange attended the NRPA and CSDA conferences. He said the quality of <br />the educational breakout sessions at NRPA was the best ever. He also attended <br />two MRCA meetings this week. On Thursday, October 27, as part of the T.O. <br />Library's "One City One Book" program, the Santa Monica Mountains Conservancy <br />will be making a presentation. <br />Jones attended the NRPA Conference and was favorably impressed; he also <br />attended the Trail Work Days last Saturday and the Safe Passages field trip event <br />at the Library. <br />Gibson announced the 2017 Annual CARPD Conference will be held in Santa Cruz <br />May 18 - 20. <br />12.
