Mountains Recreation And Conservation Authority Meeting Notice - <br />October 6, 1997 - No Comment <br />C. District Special Events Through November - No Comment <br />11. DEPARTMENT REPORTS <br />A. Park Division Report <br />In response to Jacobsen's inquiries, Gilmore described the work in progress <br />at the Lang Ranch site and said that project completion is anticipated by the <br />middle or end of November. Welty presented an update of the Newbury <br />Gateway Park project. She said that the start date is expected to be shortly <br />after Thanksgiving, and bids were considered reasonable. Ward explained <br />that the District is undertaking an evaluation of potential problems, which may <br />result from EI Nino. <br />In response to Lange's inquiry, Marchesano said that the District is very <br />involved in Trails Day, and a good community turnout is expected. Gillette <br />noted that lunch will be prepared by Berger and Lange. <br />B. Recreation Division Report <br />No report. <br />C. Administration Division Report <br />No report. <br />D. General Manager's Report <br />Ward presented a Hill Canyon Regional Joint Powers Authority project <br />update, and said that the October 17 meeting will deal with financial issues, <br />and an Executive Committee meeting is scheduled for October 22. <br />
