June 26, 1997 <br />Page 2 <br />informational packets were distributed to Board members, and said that neither <br />funding alternatives nor time frames for the JPA have been identified. <br />Jacobsen announced that three written statement cards from Colin McGil, Joey <br />Nicolari, and Hymi-Shani and Imran Quidwai were submitted expressing concern <br />about the lack of facilities for skate boarding and in-line skating, Jacobsen noted <br />the relevant pending legislation and its impact on the District. <br />5. APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br />It was moved by Holt, seconded by Lange, and carried " to approve the <br />agenda as presented. <br />S. CONSENT CALENDAR <br />A. Minutes of June 12, 1997 Meeting <br />B. Warrants, Exhibits A - E, Total $4,462,683.01 <br />C. Proclamation - July Is Parks And Recreation Month <br />It was moved by Berger and seconded by Gillette to approve the <br />Consent Calendar as presented. <br />Holt urged that the proclamation be publicized. Washington said that a news <br />release would be issued. <br />The motion carred 5-0. <br />7. DEFERRED MATTERS <br />A. Public Hearing - Fiscal Year 1997-1998 Budget <br />1. Proposed 1997-1998 Expenditure Budget <br />Jacobsen declared the public hearing open. <br />Jorgensen invited questions. <br />
