DEFERRED MATTERS <br />None <br />8. NEW ITEMS <br />A. Annual Audit Report <br />1. Acceptance Of The Report On Financial Statements For The Two <br />Years Ending June 30, 1996 <br />2. Acceptance Of Management Letter <br />Ward introduced Ron Levy, of the auditing firm of Moss, Levy and Hartzheim. <br />Levy highlighted the report, and said that the report indicated that the <br />District's financial practices adhered to generally accepted accounting <br />principles, no instances of non-compliance of federal guidelines were <br />identified, and a positive fund balance of $1,379,000 exists. He <br />complimented District staff for accuracy and responsiveness. Staff said that <br />the preliminary budget is the same as last year's budget. <br />
