Mountains Recreation And Conservation Authority (MRCA) <br />Meeting Notice And Agenda - February 25, 1997 <br />Berger thanked MRCA for its help with the transfer of <br />Decker Canyon open space from COSCA to MRCA. <br />D. Goebel Senior Center Commission Meeting Minutes - January <br />22, 1997 - No Comment <br />11. DEPARTMENT REPORTS <br />A. Park Division Report <br />Sorensen reported that the City's skate board ordinance <br />is also applicable to skates, the La Granada property <br />considered for possible acquisition was redeemed by the <br />owners, the Rancho Conejo Playfield basketball and tennis <br />courts are under construction, and grading and lighting <br />modifications were necessary, which will result in less <br />light intrusion into surrounding areas. <br />Holt thanked staff for the ordinance information, and <br />Lange thanked staff for its diligence regarding the <br />potential property acquisition. <br />B. Recreation Division Report <br />Washington referenced the Rotisserie Baseball handout and <br />noted the upcoming Spring Arts & Crafts Festival and <br />Spring Eggstravaganza. He said the recent Volunteer <br />Recognition Event and Therapeutic Dance were very <br />successful. Concluding, Washington said that the first <br />area Senior Softball Tournament is being planned, in <br />conjunction with Conejo Valley Days. <br />
