Minutes 3-6-97 <br />Page 5 <br />It was moved by Berger, seconded by Gillette, and carried <br />unanimously, 4-0, to authorize a seasonal permit for the <br />1997 Pony Baseball season to Newbury Park Pony Baseball <br />for installation of temporary fences subject to <br />conditions contained in the submitted memorandum. The <br />fence would be installed in late March, 1997. <br />B. Adoption Of Resolution Number 030697-A, A Resolution Of <br />The Board Of Directors Of Conejo Recreation And Park <br />District Approving The Joint Powers Agreement Between The <br />City Of Thousand Oaks And Conejo Recreation And Park <br />District Creating The Hill Canyon Recreation Resources <br />Authority <br />Ward noted the documentation and Gillette's and Holt's <br />presence on the Ad Hoc Committee, and he said that the <br />City Council unanimously approved the Joint Powers <br />Agreement on March 4, and, if the recommendation is <br />approved, a joint meeting with the City Council has been <br />scheduled for March 18, at which time issues of <br />organization and contract negotiations will be discussed. <br />He invited comments from the Ad Hoc Committee members. <br />It was moved by Gillette and seconded by Holt to adopt <br />Resolution Number 030697-A, A Resolution of the Board of <br />Directors of Conejo Recreation and Park District <br />Approving the Joint Powers Agreement Between the City of <br />Thousand Oaks and Conejo Recreation and Park District <br />Creating the Hill Canyon Recreation Resources Authority, <br />that it be read in title only and all other readings be <br />waived. <br />Gillette said that Holt, Ward, District senior staff, and <br />he have had an opportunity to review the document at <br />length, participate in discussions, and work with City <br />representatives of the Ad Hoc Committee, and City senior <br />staff, and all support the recommendation. <br />The motion carried unanimously, 4-0. <br />9.
