Berger noted the availability of <br />the Adventist property. <br />In response to Sorensen's request to the Board for <br />clarification of criteria number 12, it was agreed that <br />the use of undeveloped sites should be a desireable, but <br />not a required, criteria. <br />Gillette said that the Board supports the dog park <br />concept and desires to move expeditiously. <br />It was moved by Gillette, seconded by Berger, and carried <br />unanimously, 4-0, to approve the submitted planning <br />guidelines for selecting a potential site for a leash - <br />free dog park with the following criteria additions and <br />modifications: <br />The use of only undeveloped sites is desireable, not <br />required, <br />Consideration should be given to investigating the use <br />of non -district property as a site, <br />It is desirable not to displace active or passive uses. <br />Lange stated that 54 written statement cards supporting <br />the dog park concept were received, and he thanked <br />attendees for their input. <br />Lange adjourned the meeting at 8:25 p.m. and reconvened <br />at 8:35 p.m. <br />8. NEW ITEMS <br />A. Approval Of Newbury Park Pony Baseball Request To Install <br />Fencing At Cypress Park Ballfield <br />Washington stated that this is a recurring request, and <br />an amiable working relationship exists between staff and <br />the Newbury Park Pony Baseball organization. He noted <br />the conditions that would apply, and said that the cost <br />of fence installation and removal, and liability is <br />solely their responsibility. He recommended approval. <br />
