Minutes 2-6-97 <br />Page 5 <br />In response to Berger's inquiry, Ward said that, if <br />necessary, the Shapell property can be sold by the <br />District. <br />Recommendation number 2 of the Ad Hoc Committee carried <br />unanimously. <br />It was moved by Holt, seconded by Gillette, and carried <br />unanimously to adopt staff recommendation: specifically, <br />to appropriate $250,000 for the initial financing to <br />cover preconstruction costs for the Hill Canyon Regional <br />Recreation Facility. <br />Gillette pointed out that the City Council action, <br />regarding recommendation number 2, was adopted on a 3-2 <br />vote. <br />In response to Jacobsen's inquiry, Ward explained that <br />there are no public hearing requirements for the <br />formation of a JPA, and the initial review of the draft <br />JPA does not indicate any major unresolved problems. <br />9.
