Minutes 2-6-97 <br />Page 6 <br />E. Mountains Recreation And Conservation Authority Meeting <br />Notice -- February 3, 1997 - No Comment <br />11. DEPARTMENT REPORTS <br />A. Park Division Report <br />Sorensen reported that discussions with Lang Ranch <br />representatives indicate that sufficient funding is <br />available for the complete construction of the park plus <br />three years of maintenance, and a construction schedule <br />is expected shortly. <br />B. Recreation Division Report <br />Washington reported that the Teen Center and the Goebel <br />Center were current location sites for Melrose Place, the <br />television program; the winter programs are proceeding <br />well, and the spring brochure is being prepared. <br />In response to Gillette's inquiry, Washington said that <br />there is a policy governing the use of District property <br />as film sites; currently, however, its main focus is <br />outdoors versus indoors' locations, <br />C- Administration Division Report <br />No report. <br />D. General Manager's Report <br />Ward reported that he attended the recent Legislative <br />Committee, and ERAF (Educational Revenue Augmentation <br />Fund) and LAFCO (Local Area Formation Commission) <br />initiation of special district consolidations are two <br />major issues under consideration. He noted an upcoming <br />COSCA (Conejo Open Space Conservation Agency) meeting <br />and a Hill Canyon Ad Hoc Committee meeting on February <br />12. <br />
