Minutes 2-6-97 <br />Page 2 <br />6. CONSENT CALENDAR <br />A. Minutes of January 23, 1997 Meeting <br />B. Warrants, Exhibits A -- D, Total $1,531,707.79 <br />It was moved by Berger, seconded by Gillette, and carried <br />unanimously, to approve the Consent Calendar as <br />presented. <br />7. DEFERRED MATTERS <br />None <br />8. NEW ITEMS <br />A. Approval Of Westlake Baseball Association To Install <br />Fencing At Triunfo Community Park Ballfield #1 <br />Washington summarized that this is an annual request, in <br />the past there have been no problems associated with the <br />request, all conditions have been met, and staff <br />recommends approval of the recommendation. <br />It was moved by Holt, seconded by Lange, and carried <br />unanimously to authorize a seasonal permit for the 1997 <br />Pony Baseball season to Westlake Baseball Association for <br />installation of an outfield fence subject to conditions <br />identified in the body of submitted memorandum; the fence <br />to be installed early March, 1997. <br />B. Authorization To Award Contract To Miracle Play Systems, <br />Inc. For Purchase And Installation Of Play Equipment <br />Sorensen stated that the equipment was of standard <br />design, and will be installed in the existing play area <br />at Estella Park. <br />In response to Board inquiries, Sorensen said that the <br />manufacturer has a local distributor, and the difference <br />between the budgeted amount and actual cost of the <br />equipment is due to additional play options designed into <br />the equipment. <br />
