CONEJO RECREATION AND PARK DISTRICT <br />BOARD OF DIRECTORS REGULAR MEETING <br />FEBRUARY 6, 1997 <br />7:30 P.M. <br />GOEBEL SENIOR ADULT CENTER <br />M I N U T E S <br />I. CALL TO ORDER AND FLAG SALUTE <br />Chair Jacobsen called the meeting to order at 7:35 p.m. and <br />led the flag salute. <br />2. ROLL CALL <br />Directors Present: Berger, Gillette, Holt, Jacobsen, and <br />Lange <br />Directors Absent: None <br />Staff Present: General Manager Ward; Administrators Jorgensen, <br />Sorensen, and Washington; Recreation Supervisor Lukes, and <br />Executive Secretary Ohren <br />3. SPECIAL PRESENTATIONS <br />Young Athlete Award - Chris Czernek <br />Holt and Jacobsen highlighted Czernek's achievements. Coach <br />Doug Dagan, assistant coach of Newbury Park High School, <br />further spoke of Czernek's leadership and sportsmanship. On <br />behalf of the Board, Jacobsen presented the award. Czernek <br />thanked the District and all those who have supported him, and <br />said that participation in sports offers young people a <br />positive option. The Board congratulated Czernek and extended <br />best wishes for his future. <br />4. ITEMS FROM THE PUBLIC <br />5. APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br />It was moved by Holt, seconded by Lange, and carried <br />unanimously, to approve the agenda as presented. <br />
