Hill Canyon Regional Recreation Area Correspondence - No <br />Comment <br />11. DEPARTMENT REPORTS <br />A. Park Division Report <br />Sorensen reported that an article may appear in the Los <br />Angeles Times regarding the tax defaulted property near <br />Conejo Creek South, but, he said, staff was not the <br />source of the information. <br />B. Recreation Division Report <br />In Washington's absence, Wiley reported that winter <br />programs have begun, there was a four percent increase <br />in mail -in and walk-in registration, and "Celebrate the <br />Family" is scheduled for February 1 and has approximately <br />100 registrants. <br />Concluding, he said that the California Parks and <br />Recreation Society (CPRS) District VIII Awards and <br />Installation Banquet will be held January 24, Glenn <br />Krupp, a volunteer, will be honored, and Lori Olbrich <br />will be installed as secretary and Patti DeLuca -Ricketts <br />as treasurer. <br />Berger commended Wiley on the District's outstanding <br />brochures. <br />C. Administration Division Report <br />In response to Gillette's inquiry, Jorgensen said that <br />item 2 on the liability report has been closed. <br />D. General Manager's Report <br />Ward reported that he will attend a Legislative Committee <br />meeting in Sacramento on January 31, issues will include <br />Educational Revenue Augmentation Fund (ERAF), and <br />consolidation and proliferation of special districts. <br />
