Minutes 1-23-97 <br />Page 7 <br />It was moved by Gillette, seconded by Lange, and carried <br />unanimously to authorize the General Manager to act on <br />behalf of the District to co-sponsor a grant application <br />with the Conejo Open Space Foundation to the California <br />Department of Water Resources Urban Streams Restoration <br />Program. The purpose of the grant funds are for stream <br />bank repair, restoration, and enhancement at the Old <br />Meadows Park and Conejo Creek North. Further, that the <br />Board approve Resolution Number 012397-B to complete and <br />confirm the grant application, that it be read in title <br />only and all further readings be waived. <br />In response to Lange's inquiry, Sorensen said that damage <br />from recent storms include leaking roofs and minor stream <br />bed erosion. <br />9. ITEMS FOR DISCUSSION <br />A. Status On Current Major Capital Improvement Projects <br />Sorensen identified and provided status on pending park <br />developments and other capital improvement projects. The <br />parks discussed included Lang Ranch Neighborhood Park, <br />Rancho Conejo Playfield, Dos Vientos Neighborhood Park, <br />Dos Vientos Community Park, Dos Vientos Playfield; the <br />other projects discussed included the addition of a <br />restroom structure at Willow Bend picnic area at Conejo <br />Creek North. <br />Sorensen said that he anticipates staff will present an <br />update to the report every three or four months. <br />10. REPORTS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS <br />A. Ventura County Special Districts Association (VCSDA) <br />Nominations For Annual Awards - No Comment <br />B. Report Of Investments For November, 1996 - No Comment <br />C. Budget Performance Report - December, 1996 <br />Lange said that he was pleased to see the ratio of <br />revenue as a percent of expenditures increased to almost <br />100 percent. <br />D.
