Minutes 1-23-97
Page 6
In response to Jacobsen's inquiry, Jorgensen said that
the Board adopts policy under which staff functions, and
a monthly investment report is issued. Lange said he is
comfortable with the policy. Referencing the investment
policy, Holt suggested that next year section 4.2 be
rewritten and Lange suggested that section 10.0 is too
broadly written.
It was moved by Berger, seconded by Lange, and carried
unanimously to readopt the District's investment policy.
D. Adoption Of Resolution Number 012397-A, A Resolution
Authorizing Staff To Make Wire Transfers From District
Funds Invested In Ventura County Investment Pool
Jorgensen explained the need for a resolution authorizing
wire transfers, and noted that appropriate internal
controls are in place.
It was moved by Gillette, seconded by Holt, and carried
unanimously to approve Resolution Number 012397-A, a
resolution authorizing staff to make wire transfers from
District funds invested in the Ventura County Investment
Pool, that it be read in title only and all further
readings be waived.
E. Adoption Of Resolution 012397-B, A Resolution To Co-
sponsor A Grant Application To The California Department
Of Water Resources Urban Streams Restoration Program
Referencing a map, Gilmore identified and described two
areas along Lang Creek and the erosion damage at Conejo
Creek -North as a possible project for funding under State
Proposition 204.
In response to Gillette's inquiry, Gilmore said that the
total amount of the project would be $39,890, of which
$9,440 would be District in-kind contributions.
In response to Jacobsen's concern, Gilmore said that
stream construction sites are under the jurisdiction of
the Ventura County Flood Control District, all
development projects upstream are responsible for water
run-off, and all must have temporary detention
facilities.
