Further, he noted an addition to Section 102 - <br />Definitions; specifically, Z(3) "Sunset shall be as <br />determined by the U.S. Naval Observatory for the Los <br />Angeles area". <br />Gillette opened the public hearing. As no one was in <br />attendance who wished to address the Board, Gillette <br />closed the public hearing. <br />It was moved by Berger, seconded by Jacobsen, and carried <br />unanimously to adopt Resolution Number 101796A, A <br />resolution adopting the amended ordinance manual, that <br />it be read in title only and all other readings be <br />waived. <br />8. NEW ITEMS <br />A. Approval To Transfer MRCA (Mountains Recreation and <br />Conservation Authority) Payroll Processing Responsibility <br />To The District <br />Jorgensen referenced the advantages to both MRCA and CRPD <br />of the District assuming MRCA's payroll processing <br />responsibility, and he discussed the financial <br />considerations of the change. He said that the <br />additional cost to the District will be approximately <br />$13,000 to cover the cost of the additional part-time <br />receptionist that will be needed, $11,000 will be <br />received from MRCA, and the Action Grant of RSVP (Retired <br />Senior Volunteer Program) is expected to cover the <br />balance, when those funds become available. <br />In response to Board inquiries, staff said that the <br />employee responsible for the task will be working within <br />her job description, and the payroll processing change <br />should facilitate timely financial data, including a <br />budget performance report. <br />Lange said that MRCA could benefit from this information, <br />and he stated his support of the recommendation. Berger <br />noted the benefits for both organizations, and he stated <br />his support of the recommendation. <br />
