Minutes 9-19-96 <br />Page 6 <br />Holt said that she has received much relevant feedback, <br />Berger said he would like to see the ballot, and <br />Sorensen said that a great deal of inaccurate information <br />exists about the concept. <br />In response to Jacobsen's inquiry, Sorensen said that <br />most bark parks have good parking facilities and <br />restrooms, and are located near an arterial line, to <br />facilitate their community -wide focus; community parks <br />have these amenities, and, consequently, they are part <br />of the contingency plans; and homeowners in the Triunfo <br />Park area have expressed concern about potential traffic <br />and parking problems. <br />Sorensen said that it has been communicated to all <br />interested people that only conceptual approval for the <br />Triunfo Park site has been given, and conceptual approval <br />is defined as "approved for further study". <br />Gillette expressed confidence in the area homeowners <br />associations. <br />B. Recreation Division Report <br />Washington summarized that the Oktoberfest at Conejo <br />Creek North was very successful in terms of attendance, <br />planning, and implementation; fall programs begin within <br />the next two weeks; and the Children's Festival of the <br />Arts on October 5 at Conejo Creek North will be a major <br />children's event. <br />Washington referenced a handout on summer camp attendance <br />for 1995 and 1996. He reviewed the statistics, discussed <br />strategies for handling camp requests, and noted that the <br />McCrea Ranch may ultimately be used as an additional camp <br />site. <br />Berger complimented staff for its efforts with the <br />Oktoberfest event. <br />C. Administration Division Report <br />Jorgensen reported that discussions are underway for the <br />District to assume responsibility for MRCA's payroll <br />processing. He said that the change would save MBCA <br />staff time. <br />
