Santa Monica Mountains Conservancy Meeting Notice And <br />Agenda - September 16, 1996 <br />Lange reported on an excellent tour and field trip to <br />Franklin Canyon Park. <br />D. Correspondence From The Office Of The County Clerk And <br />Recorder Regarding November 5, 1996 Election - No Comment <br />E. Mountains Recreation And Conservation Authority Meeting <br />Notice And Agenda - September 16, 1996 - No Comment <br />11. DEPARTMENT REPORTS <br />A. Park Division Report <br />Sorensen reported that: much community feedback, both <br />positive and negative, has been received on the bark park <br />concept, which was conceptually approved as a Capital <br />Improvement Project by the Board on August 8; the Triunfo <br />Park area homeowners association, representing 600 homes, <br />will take a position on the issue; and other options, as <br />yet unannounced, are being explored by staff. <br />In response to Holt's inquiry, Sorensen said that staff <br />has requested that the association's position be based <br />on feedback garnered through a ballot to be sent to all <br />homeowners, staff has confidence in the homeowners <br />association, and the homeowners association appears to <br />be taking a balanced approach to the issue. <br />
