Minutes 8-8-96 <br />Page 3 <br />B. Review Of Gregor Mendel Botanic Foundation Loan Agreement <br />Sorensen reviewed the Foundation's earlier request of <br />loan forgiveness and their most recent decision to <br />continue the repayment plan. <br />In response to Lange's inquiry, Sorensen explained that, <br />by agreement, the District is responsible for some <br />maintenance costs, and he identified typical costs and <br />projects. <br />Lange and Gillette stated their appreciation of the <br />Foundation's commitment to continue the repayment <br />schedule. <br />Sorensen said that, in <br />misunderstandings, staff has <br />a more detailed analysis of <br />reports be provided. <br />order to avoid future <br />requested that, henceforth, <br />the Foundation's financial <br />It was moved by Berger and seconded by Lange to preserve <br />the financial obligation and payment schedule, and <br />maintain a positive financial relationship with the <br />Foundation, given their current desire to fulfil this <br />obligation. <br />In response to Jacobsen's inquiry, Sorensen stated that <br />the only capital improvement project request made by the <br />Foundation was for an improved access adjacent to the <br />basketball court, the request was subsequently withdrawn, <br />and they have increased their volunteerism significantly. <br />The motion carried unanimously, 5-0. <br />Lange suggested that the District brochure be considered <br />for Foundation announcements. Holt noted the <br />availability of pamphlets at the community center and <br />questioned the appropriateness of placing Foundation ads <br />in the Arts Council brochure. Gillette said that he sees <br />the District's relationships with the Foundation and the <br />Stagecoach Inn as reciprocal ones. Jorgensen said that <br />information relative to the Foundation and the Stagecoach <br />Inn will be part of the District's Internet presence. <br />
