Minutes 7-11-96 <br />Page 5 <br />It was moved by Holt, seconaeci by Lange, and carried <br />unanimously, 3-0, to approve the signature list and adopt <br />Resolution Number 071196-A, a resolution assuring <br />District eligibility to purchase surplus federal <br />property; that it be read in title only and all further <br />readings be waived. <br />9. ITEMS FOR DISCUSSION <br />None <br />10. REPORTS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS <br />A. Goebel Senior Center Commission Meeting Minutes May 22, <br />1995 <br />In response to Holts inquiry, Ward explained that the <br />Commission raised $175,000 for center furnishings, and <br />current revenue is primarily from the bingo concession <br />and bus trip profits, with additional subsidiary revenue <br />from RSVP's portion of Utilipay proceeds and <br />miscellaneous donations. He said that the Commission <br />supports some senior activities, such as the Senior Expo, <br />center furnishings, postage and printing for Commission <br />meetings, and other specific appropriations as identified <br />in the bylaws. <br />B. May/June, 1996 Recreation Executive Report (Article <br />Regarding District) <br />Ward identified the article about the District in the <br />publication. <br />Holt noted two articles in the recent edition of {CPRS} <br />California Park and Recreation Magazine; one article <br />written by Steve Wiley, Recreation Manager, and another <br />article highlighting the District. <br />11. DEPARTMENT REPORTS <br />A. Park Division Report <br />Sorensen noted the first cut of the construction drawings <br />for Lang Ranch Neighborhood Park and said that it is <br />anticipated that construction will begin within 90 days. <br />
