Recreation Division Report <br />Washington highlighted the July 4 events, indicating that <br />the concert was well attended, staff won the annual Home <br />Run Derby against the senior team, and the fireworks <br />display was presented after approval from the fire <br />district was obtained. He said that all event feedback <br />will be evaluated with the intent of providing improved <br />activities and service next year. <br />He said that the summer programs are operating well, and <br />he acknowledged Wiley's article in the CPRS Magazine and <br />Wiley's continued efforts to perpetuate the arts in <br />Conejo Valley. <br />Holt expressed appreciation for the fireworks' display. <br />Lange praised the concert and noted the recent newspaper <br />article about the summer kindergarten program. <br />C. Administration Division Report <br />Jorgensen said that the MOU will be modified to reflect <br />consistency in the employee organization's name. <br />D. General Manager's Report <br />Ward presented an overview of legislative activity and <br />reported that the State budget was adopted, subject to <br />line item vetoes by the governor, no additional tax <br />shifts are anticipated, and neither the Senate nor <br />Assembly took action on any bills to assuage ERAF <br />(Educational Revenue Augmentation Fund). <br />He said that he met with City representatives to discuss <br />the Hill Canyon Regional Recreation Area, and the project <br />is progressing. <br />Concluding, Ward said that he has been in contact with <br />Conejo Creek Coalition representatives relative to their <br />expectations of a continuing dialogue with the Board; and <br />it is expected that staff will continue to dialogue with <br />the group, and the Board will be asked to receive future <br />Coalition presentations. <br />
