ITEMS FROM THE PUBLIC <br />Jeff Alexander, of Thousand Oaks, congratulated the District <br />on its talented staff, management, and Board. <br />Alexander extended an invitation to the first annual Team <br />Penning on June 16, sponsored by the Conejo Open Space <br />Foundation. <br />5. APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br />It was moved by Holt, seconded by Berger, and carried <br />unanimously, to approve the agenda as presented. <br />6- CONSENT CALENDAR <br />A. Minutes of May 2, 1996 Meeting <br />B. Warrants, Exhibits A - D, Total $294,492.18 <br />It was moved by Jacobsen, seconded by Holt, and carried <br />unanimously, to approve the Consent Calendar as <br />presented. <br />7. DEFERRED MATTERS <br />A. Public Hearing - Fiscal year 1996-1997 Budget <br />Gillette declared the public hearing open. <br />Ward explained that the public hearing is an opportunity <br />for the public to address the Board, relative to the <br />budget, and the process would continue until the budget <br />is adopted in August. As no one was in attendance who <br />wished to address the Board, the public hearing was <br />continued to the next regular meeting. <br />B. Public Hearing - Landscape Maintenance District Number <br />99--1 - Dos Vientos Ranch <br />Ward identified the procedures to be observed during the <br />public hearings and summarized relevant milestones. He <br />said that the final public hearing is scheduled for June <br />13, 1996. <br />
