Warrants, Exhibits A - D, Total $228,841.22
It was moved by Berger, seconded by Jacobsen, and carried
unanimously, to approve the Consent Calendar as
presented.
7. DEFERRED MATTERS
A. Public Hearing - Fiscal year 1996-1997 Budget
Gillette declared the public hearing open.
Ward explained that the public hearing is an opportunity
for the public to address the Board, relative to the
budget. As no one was in attendance who wished to
address the Board, the public hearing was continued to
the next regular meeting.
B. Ventura County Greek Festival Request To Modify Permit
Conditions
Washington reviewed the request and the Board decision
made in November, 1995, including the time restriction
relevant to alcohol sales. He said that George Lewis,
Chair of the Ventura County Greek Festival, was present
to request an extension of those hours.
Lewis stated that it was his committee's understanding
that approval was granted to sell beer and wine until one
hour prior to closing, and he requested that the Board
reconsider the November motion and thus allow the group
to serve liquor until 8 p.m. on Saturday and 7 p.m. on
Sunday.
