CONEJO RECREATION AND PARK DISTRICT <br />BOARD OF DIRECTORS REGULAR MEETING <br />MAY 2, 1996 <br />7:30 P.M. <br />GOEBEL SENIOR ADULT CENTER <br />M I N U T E S <br />1- CALL TO ORDER AND FLAG SALUTE <br />Chair Gillette called the meeting to order at 7:32 p.m., and <br />led the flag salute. <br />2. ROLL CALL <br />Directors Present: Berger, Gillette, Holt, Jacobsen, and <br />Lange <br />Jacobsen arrived at 7:43 p.m. <br />Directors Absent: None <br />Staff Present: General Manager Ward, Administrators Sorensen <br />and Washington, Recreation Manager Wiley, and Executive <br />Secretary Ohren <br />3. SPECIAL PRESENTATIONS <br />1996 Gold Medal Finalist Video -- Steve Wiley <br />Washington stated that the winner of the Gold Medal Award will <br />be announced in October at the NRPA (National Recreation and <br />Park Association) Conference, and he introduced Wiley. Wiley <br />explained that the District was nominated by Big 5 Sporting <br />Goods of Thousand Oaks, and the District is one of four <br />included in the Class II category, which is comprised of <br />cities with a population between 100,000 and 250,000. He <br />presented the video, and invited questions. <br />Ward praised and thanked Wiley for the quality of the video <br />and his work. <br />4. ITEMS FROM THE PUBLIC <br />
