Goebel Senior Center Commission Meeting Minutes -
February 28, 1996 - No Comment
E. Report Of Investments For February, 1996 - No Comment
11, DEPARTMENT REPORTS
A. Park Division Report
Sorensen stated that there was very little interest or
attendance shown at the first community meeting on the
Master Plan proposal for Lang Ranch Neighborhood Park;
staff will attend the homeowners' association meeting,
prior to the April 18 public hearing; the only concern
expressed thus far, regards the trail from the Greystone
Developers; and, as yet, there is no resolution to the
issue.
Continuing, Sorensen said that staff is working
collaboratively with the National Park Service; projects
include using a global positioning system to produce a
thousand scale map and the radio collaring of mountain
lions in open space. He said that a mountain lion has
been sighted in Wildwood Park and another in North Ranch
open space, and National Park Service and California
Department of Fish and Game are gathering critical
information to aid in decision making.
