Authorization To Add A Capital Improvement Project (Olsen <br />Channel Fence Replacement) To The 1995-96 Budget <br />Citing safety concerns, Sorensen reviewed the need for <br />fence replacement and noted that the recommendation <br />needed modification; i.e., an additional $5,000 is needed <br />for installation costs, for a total cost of $13,000. He <br />said that funds are available from the Wildwood Impact <br />Fee, Fund 47, and the project will not impact the budget. <br />In response to Lange's inquiry, Sorensen said that <br />recycled plastic with a wood appearance will be used. <br />In response to Jacobsen's inquiry, Ward explained that <br />the fund is for any upstream development that impacts the <br />Wildwood channels. <br />It was moved by Lange, seconded by Berger, and carried <br />unanimously, 4-0, to authorize the addition of the Olsen <br />Channel fence replacement to the 1995-96 Capital <br />Improvements Projects list with total funding of $13,000 <br />to come from the Wildwood Impact Fee, Fund 47. <br />In response to Jacobsen's inquiry, Sorensen said that the <br />Wildwood fort receives heavy use and suffers from <br />vandalism; staff continues to assess the structure; but, <br />currently, a major expenditure is not planned. <br />9.
