Minutes 4--4-96 Page 3 B. Ratification Of Appointments To The Goebel Senior Center Commission Ward stated that this is an annual process and invited questions. In response to Holt's inquiries, Ward explained that the Commission is composed of 15 members, terms are for three -years, and there are no term limits. Ward reviewed the election process, including ratification by the Board of Directors, and the non-profit status of the Commission. It was moved by Berger, seconded by Lange, and carried unanimously, 4-0, to ratify the appointments of Marguerite Barrett, Lucille Bartholomay, William Hogg, Kenneth R. Johnson, and Harry Sonenklar to three-year terms on the Goebel Senior Center Commission, effective July 1, 1996. C, Authorization To Purchase Computer Software And Hardware Jorgensen referenced the computer report submitted to the Board in June, 1995, and said that the proposed purchases are consistent with the adopted report and are within the budget adopted in July, 1995. He invited questions. In response to Board inquiries, Jorgensen said that it is anticipated that the new software and hardware will upgrade the AS400 system, facilitate Park Division computerization, and provide a basis upon which to build a remote network. It was moved by Lange, seconded by Holt, and carried unanimously, 4-0, to: 1. Approve the purchase of Recreation Division computer hardware and software in an amount not to exceed $15,102.00; 2. Approve the purchase of computer hardware to upgrade the District's AS400 in an amount not to exceed $34,000; 3. Authorize the Administrator, Management Services to contract with LOTS for computer software and hardware technical support.
