Approval of 1996 Conejo Valley Days Agreement
Per the Agreement, Sorensen said that negotiations took place between
the Conejo Valley Days Activities Corporation and the District for
renewal of the Agreement for Conejo Creek South as the site for the
1996 Conejo Valley Days which will take place April 24 through 28.
Continuing, he said that other than minor language changes, and the fee
involved - this year staff negotiated a $10,000 fee plus a percentage of
the net - the Agreement is the same. Lange referenced items 3 and 4 of
the Agreement regarding crosswalks and lighting, and requested
continued security and safety measures, particularly at Janss and Paige
Lane.
It was moved and Berger, seconded by Holt, and carried unanimously,
with Jacobsen not yet in attendance, to extend the term of the 1995
Conejo Valley Days Agreement through 1996, subject to the fee changes
described in paragraph 8 of this Agreement.
B. Ratification of Goebel Senior Center Commission Bylaws' Amendments
Ward reiterated that the bylaws of the Goebel Senior Commission must
be authorized and approved by the Board of Directors; staff
and the Commission and subcommittee went through an extensive
process to review the bylaws and incorporating particular changes
necessary to comply with the Brown Act which was amended last year,
and extended its provisions to appointed bodies such as the Commission.
They acted last week to approve the bylaws and the recommendations.
It was moved by Berger, seconded by Lange, and carried unanimously to
ratify the amended bylaws, as approved by the Goebel Senior Center
Commission, Inc.
