November 19, 1998 <br />Page 3 <br />It was moved by Gillette and seconded by Jacobsen to approve the <br />purchase of modular furniture from T. W. McAllister & Associates in <br />the amount of $5,412.41. <br />In response to Lange's inquiry, Jorgensen said that T W. McAllister & <br />Associates offers the District government pricing. <br />The motion carried 5-0. <br />C. Approval Of Westlake Baseball Association Request To Install <br />Temporary Fencing At Triunfo Community Park Ballfield #1 <br />Washington stated that this is an annual request, the organization has <br />worked well with the District in the past, and the fence will be installed under <br />direction of District staff to ensure that all requirements are met. <br />It was moved by Gillette, seconded by Berger, and carried 5-0, to <br />approve a seasonal permit for the 1999 Pony Baseball season to <br />Westlake Baseball Association for installation of an outfield fence, <br />subject to conditions contained within the body of the submitted <br />memorandum, and to be installed March 1999. <br />D. Authorization To Award Bid For Utility Vehicle To Bob Beaty Ford In <br />Amount Of $21,752 <br />Sorensen reviewed that the Board previously authorized up to $25,000 for <br />the purchase of a utility vehicle, a normal bid process was conducted, <br />although Crown Dodge was the low bidder for a Jeep Cherokee utility <br />vehicle, the vehicle does not meet specifications, and Bob Beaty Ford was <br />the low bidder meeting the District's minimum specifications, with a 1999 <br />Ford Explorer utility vehicle at $21,752.00. <br />It was moved by Gillette, seconded by Berger, and carried 5-0 to <br />authorize staff to award the bid for the utility vehicle to Bob Beaty Ford <br />in the amount of $21,752, with funding to come from the Equipment <br />Replacement Fund. <br />E. Authorization To Grant Easement Deed On Triunfo Community Park <br />For Fire Control Purposes <br />Sorensen explained that a homeowner whose property abuts Triunfo <br />Community Park wishes to construct a wooden deck, an easement deed <br />
