Warrants, Exhibits A - D, Total $218,854.45 <br />It was moved by Gillette, seconded by Jacobsen, and carried 5-0, to <br />approve the Consent Calendar as presented. <br />Lange noted that the dedication of the Pleasant Valley Skateboard Park is <br />November 20 and the opening is November 21. <br />7. DEFERRED MATTERS <br />None <br />8. NEW ITEMS <br />A. Approval To Fund Upgrade Of AS400 Operating System Software In <br />Amount Of $11,069.27 <br />Jorgensen stated that previous software upgrades were at no cost, the <br />upgrade will facilitate wide area network capability, MRCA (Mountains <br />Recreation and Conservation Authority) will share in the cost of the upgrade <br />in the amount of $3,690, and the District's share will be $7,379, and the <br />division of cost between the District and MRCA is based upon expected <br />usage. <br />In response to Board inquiries, Jorgensen explained that the AS400 <br />hardware and proposed software are state of the art, the next major <br />upgrade will be the wiring at Park Place, the hardware, printers, and <br />software are all supported by maintenance agreements, and an internal <br />technical support person is not envisioned in the near future. <br />It was moved by Jacobsen, seconded by Berger, and carried 5-0 to <br />approve the upgrade of AS400 operating system software in the <br />amount of $11,069.27. <br />B. Approval To Purchase Modular Furniture In Amount Of $5,412.41 <br />Jorgensen stated that $15,000 was approved in the 1998-99 fiscal year <br />budget for purchase of modular furniture. He discussed the Human <br />Resource Supervisor's office and the need for a redesign of that space. <br />
