Consideration Of Adoption Of Resolution Numbers 040298-A And <br />040298-13, Office Of Emergency Services <br />Sorensen reiterated that, because the District was not informed of the need <br />to adopt the subject resolutions until after the posting of the agenda on <br />March 30, 1998, it is necessary that the Board authorize the placement of <br />this matter on the agenda pursuant to the Brown Act. He said that the first <br />resolution is concerned with the findings that an emergency situation <br />exists, and the second resolution regards authorization of certain staff <br />members to sign agreements and provide information to the Office of <br />Emergency Services for disaster relief funding. <br />It was moved by Gillette and seconded by Holt to approve adoption of <br />Resolution Number 040298-A and Resolution 040298-13, the first <br />making findings that immediate action by the legislative body is <br />necessary in the interest of public health and safety; and the second <br />authorizing certain District employees to act as agents on its behalf to <br />provide information, and sign agreements with the Office of <br />Emergency Services; that they be read in title only and all further <br />readings be waived. <br />In response to Lange's inquiry, Sorensen said that damage was suffered in <br />Wildwood Park, and portions of Mesa Road, Knoll Trail, Los Robles Trail, <br />and trails behind Triunfo Park. He said that Wildwood Dam suffered <br />approximately $50,000 damage, In response to Gillette's request, <br />Sorensen said that definitive information will be available at the next Board <br />meeting, relative to the costs of the damage associated with the breakage <br />of the City of Thousand Oaks sewer lines. <br />The motion carried 5-0. <br />Lange requested that the Board be kept updated on the status of the <br />project. <br />9.
