Acceptance Of Management Letter Relative To Annual Audit For Fiscal <br />Year Ended June 30, 1997 <br />Jorgensen invited questions <br />It was moved by Berger and seconded by Jacobson, to accept the <br />management letter as submitted by the accounting firm of Moss, Levy, <br />and Hartzheim, and direct staff to implement remedial procedures as <br />appropriate. <br />In response to Jacobsen's and Gililette's inquiries, Jorgensen said that the, <br />as yet, unfinished acquisition and upgrading of computer equipment at <br />remote sites will help ensure timely response and compliance, a reminder <br />was issued to remote locations regarding the correct procedure to be used <br />for prompt bank deposits, and revenue is picked up daily from remote sites <br />by a courier, brought to the administrative office, consolidated, and <br />deposited in the bank each afternoon. <br />The motion carried 5-0. <br />C. Consideration Of Appointments To The Goebel Senior Center <br />Commission <br />Ward synopsized the appointments process, the March 25 election, the <br />Commission vacancies, terms, incumbents, and candidates. <br />It was moved by Holt, seconded by Gillette, and carried 5-0, to approve <br />the appointments of Carlotta Courant, John Doane, Alberta Morita, <br />Marvin Graff, and Nancy iannacone to three-year terms, Robert Evans <br />and Richard Westland to two-year terms, and Samuel Rosen to a one- <br />year term on the Goebel Senior Center Commission; the terms of <br />Courant, Doane, Fiorita, Graff, and lannacone to be effective July 1, <br />1998, the terms of Evans, Westland, and Rosen to be effective <br />immediately. <br />Lange requested that Ward extend congratulations and thanks to all <br />appointees. <br />
